30 Days of Thanks 2015 – Day 2
Today I am so thankful for my Mom, Michelle. For being my mama and bringing me into this world, for helping me be the best mama I can be, for taking such good care of my little monkey so I can feel at ease at work and whenever else I leave her. And lastly, but not least for being the dishwasher fairy and the woman who knows exactly what size container to use for leftovers. She has a gift and is a gift.
I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...
You know, it’s become a running joke that we (unintentionally, I swear) always run the dishwasher on a Sunday night – which is always the night before she looks after the little one in the afternoon. We don’t have time to put everything away on a Monday morning LOL It’s not that we leave the dishes for her to put away… it just kinda happens that way LOL
