Lay Your Hands On Me

Nope, not talking about the boys from Jersey. I’m talking about the mini-massages you get when you pay for a mani/pedi.  It’s not the whole shebang, but after a day of kids and meetings… a little sea salt scrub, cooling gel, and warmed lotion go a long way to make me feel good.  That’s not to mention the 10 minutes of kneading my forearms to melt away any hint of tendonitis, the abbreviated calf and foot rub to relieve tension, and the magic pedicure chair that gently pummels my lower back while I sit.

I know it might seem a luxury to some, but it’s really therapeutic and relieves stress. We all need to be kind to ourselves on a regular basis, and this is one of my favorite ways to do it.
