30 Days of Thanks – Day 19 (Writing)

Today I am thankful for the ability to express myself through writing.  I think most people have a need to be understood, whether or not that is an articulated need.  To be able to say exactly how I feel, is something I sometimes find hard to do with spoken words, but I’ve always been able to write what I feel or think down on paper (or at least, electronic paper.)  This ability has allowed me to do things I likely wouldn’t have otherwise, not least of which includes connecting me to the world at large, and for that I am grateful.

I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...

  1. I’ve (nearly) always been a writer… kept a journal for ten years and for five of those I wrote it on paper! I’m glad I did because it’s proven to be invaluable when writing my blog 🙂
