30 Days of Thanks – Day 13 (Friendship)

Today I am thankful for my dear friends. Not the Facebook kind (although those are great, too, in their own way), but the ones who I actually have contact info for that doesn’t involve social media. The ones I’ve known for 15, 20, even 25 years – those who have seen me through thick, thin, and everywhere in between.  The ones who remind me who I am when I forget… who make me smile, laugh, feel at ease when I am having one of those days, who let me lean when I need to. We might have had times where we drifted, lost touch or even had falling outs for one reason or another…but we always find our way back. You know who you are. And for that I am grateful.

I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...

  1. Friends will be friends… when you’re in need of love they give you care and attention… friends will be friends, when you’re through with life and all hope is lost, hold out your hand… cos friends will be friends… right til the end… 🙂
