G is for Greet Everyone You Meet With A Smile #atozchallenge

I take a lot of walks in my neighborhood. Oftentimes I see a lot of the same people…but even if see all new people, I do my best to smile when I pass them by.

Why? Well I know how much better I feel when someone chooses to smile at me instead of ignore me, or worse look at me like I’m an alien when I smile at them!

It doesn’t take a lot of effort, and the impact it makes can be huge.

Take a cue from my favorite smile of late…

Stay tuned during the month of April to see other ways in which you can incorporate kindness into your daily life and encourage others to do the same…I’ll return to my senses on May 1.

I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...

  1. When I grocery shop, I get so absorbed in my list and thoughts, I have to remind myself to look around and smile at people. Shopping is not such a chore when I smile.

    1. Very good point….I’ve also been able to get some recommendations that way! Smiling and then chatting about whatever happens to be in front of us 🙂

    1. So true – I think it’s partially because for the first few months you get nothing in terms of a reaction other than crying lol and when you finally get that smile…it’s amazing!

What's your 2 sense?
