S is for Sedona

My kind of cathedral

My kind of cathedral…

I’ve only got a few letters left so I wanted to make a brief return to my burgeoning bucket list and tell you about my grand desires to go to Sedona, Arizona.  Between the Native American history and the natural beauty, I’m pretty sure I would be in heaven there.  It’s also a good place to see stars, so that means if I wanted, the Man would likely go with me on my journey.  There are also several energy vortexes in Sedona that make it a veritable spiritual haven.  What is an energy vortex, you ask?

Well, they are spiraling little happy tornadoes of energy emanating from the Earth in specific places (several of them in Sedona.) This may sound hokey and weird, but being the sensitive, spiritual, somewhat bohemian person that I am, this is right up my alley.  When you are near one of them, you are supposed to feel uplifted and strengthened, your core being invigorated.

It sounds like the perfect place to have a respite and pick up some extra crystals for a long weekend.

Have any of you been there before? Any recommendations for a newbie?

Stay tuned during the month of April to see what other subjects I want to explore…I’ll return to my senses on May 1.

I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...
