All About That Bass and the song that finally got it out of my head.

Seriously could not get this Meghan Trainor ditty out of my head:

I woke up singing it to myself several times this week.  So incredibly catchy…I’m turning it up and singing it out loud and shakin’ it in the car, even the little monkey is singing along…but it was starting to drive me batty until I saw this…

I’d seen the link to this BBC Music promotion a few times on my Facebook feed this past week and finally had a few minutes to myself to watch it before work. It brought tears to my eyes.

A positively celestial version of one of my favorite Beach Boys’ songs (top award there goes to Don’t Worry, Baby) produced by the BBC, soon to be available on iTunes to support the charity Children in Need.

Watch both, shake it a little, and then shed a happy tear for the wonder that is harmony.

I'm 42, a remarried mom of an 8 year old girl and a toddler son, a teacher, and a writer. People tell me I tend to be brutally honest and ...tell it like it is, so I had hoped to use this outlet to keep me sane while I got used to my new life as a stay-at-home Mom back when I was home with my daughter....it worked. And it's been therapeutic through the end of a marriage and the emergence of me...
