Today I am thankful for the bountiful food that will be on my family’s Thanksgiving table tomorrow, and for all the family and friends who get to share it together. Nearly every year for the past 20 or so years, I have spent at my aunt and uncle’s house. There’s always about 20 or so people, with 20 or so different dishes of food – all delicious. Everyone is welcome, friends, cousins whom you haven’t seen the whole year, or stragglers who just don’t have anywhere to spend the holiday whom you might have never met before. We never do it fancy, but we always do it right – by focusing on the important things…being grateful for what we have, and spending time with family.
