Today I am thankful for my daughter Maya. Even on days like today when she’s not feeling her best, and especially on days when I’m not feeling my best, looking at her reminds me that at the end of the day, I’ve contributed something good to our world. She is spirited, funny, sweet, too smart for her own good, sensitive, polite, beautiful, and unique. I’m glad she calls me “Mommy” and that I get to guide her in life.
